He spent 4 years as a charge nurse on the orthopedic floor. Realizing that he wanted to further his medical career and continue helping people, he went on to earn his BSN at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Mr. Lyon continued his education at University of Texas at El Paso, Texas and earned his MSN with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Mr. Lyon is a disabled Viet-Nam veteran. Prior to entering the medical field, he served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Viet-Nam, Fort Benning, GA., and Germany working with officer candidates and Army Ranger Candidates. Mr. Lyon also had a successful career in the oilfield as a down hole tool operator for many years. He and his fiancée, both his children and his 4 grandchildren reside in the Fort Worth area.
